Tasrif Pharmaceuticals Expands Intellectual Property Around Poliovirus Receptor

Earns second U.S. patent for humanized monoclonal antibodies against the Poliovirus Receptor.

Tasrif Pharmaceutical, LLC has secured its second U.S. patent, expanding its intellectual property around the Poliovirus Receptor (CD155/PVR) and strengthening protection for its antibody-based cancer immunotherapy platform.

The portfolio includes a proprietary panel of humanized monoclonal antibodies and antigen-binding fragments, including lead candidate TSRF-786C IgG4 (S241P), humanized using Abzena’s Composite Human Antibody platform.

Tasrif said it is using the CD155-binding platform to develop next-generation therapies, including ADCs, bispecifics, T-cell engagers, CAR-T, and CAR-NK approaches, with related patent applications pending in Japan, Europe, Canada, Australia, and China.

The company reported preclinical evidence of tumor-specific accumulation in a glioblastoma mouse model and is advancing brain-penetrating Anti-CD155 × Anti-Transferrin Receptor bispecific antibodies aimed at crossing the blood-brain barrier for CNS cancers.

For systemic cancers, TSRF-786C has shown sub-nanomolar CD155 binding, target specificity, low immunogenicity in Abzena’s EpiScreen assay, a favorable cytokine-release profile, and non-human primate cross-reactivity supporting planned IND-enabling studies.

Pilot humanized mouse studies in pancreatic and lung cancer also showed TSRF-786C modulated the CD155–DNAM-1 immune axis without altering local PD-1 expression, supporting potential combination strategies with anti-PD-1 therapies.
